This is a very nice luxury suv, I’d love to own one, although I would buy a second vehicle if I wanted to do an overland trip, this is a soft roader, a real truck would have a maximum of 17” rims, I’d love to see Toyota put out an off road version of this with a solid front axle and real mechanical lockers, the front bumper on this belongs on a car, the approach and departure angle are not very good at all.

It's not that complicated in most cases. Toyota just happens to be one of the more annoying brands to buy. To simplify the vehicle buying process, just do everything online. Anytime I'm purchasing a vehicle, I request an OTD quote from multiple dealers in my area and ask for the quote in writing. Once I receive the quotes, I compare them to ensure they are apples to apples. Then I pick the one I like, place a REFUNDABLE deposit over the phone and make an appointment to test drive the vehicle and complete the purchase. It's that simple. NEVER go to the dealership before you have a final deal in writing.

That 94 mpg-E rating is based on a specific ratio of HV to EV miles, 60 miles in Electric EV mode to every 40 miles in gasoline HV mode. If you drive a lot of long road trips on gasoline, and not so much in-town driving on electric, your mpg-E rating isn't going to be quite this impressive. I've owned a 2023 Rav4 Prime for the last 10 months, and here are my real-world numbers: Total miles driven, 10217. About 7,700 miles were in HV mode, on 165 gallons of gasoline, for an average of 46.6 mpg. 3,493 miles were driven in EV mode, using a mix of external battery charges and energy recovered by the regen braking system. About 838 kW-hours were obtained from external battery charges, for an average of 4.1 miles per kW-hour. The average cost per gallon of gas was $3.58, and the average paid for electricity was 11.7¢/kW-hr. The grand total cost for gas and electric charging to drive my Rav4 Prime was therefore 6.15¢ per mile. If I was driving a Rav4 Hybrid, which has the same 2.5 liter gas engine but 50 less horsepower in the MG2 motor, and a much smaller, non-plug-in battery (2 kW-hour ), I would have burned $914 worth of gas, for a cost per mile of 8.95¢/mile. So the Rav4 Prime does save you some on fuel costs, but not enough to ever realistically recover the $12,000 price difference between the Hybrid and the Prime. You have to have other reasons to spend that money to get a Prime. If your ratio of EV to HV driving is more like 70% EV to 30% HV, and you live somewhere that gas is real expensive, and you can get free or very cheap electricity, maybe from a large solar panel array on your roof, then maybe that $12,000 price premium for a Rav4 Prime is less of a deterrent. The Rav4 Prime is certainly peppier from a standing start, and it can climb steep hills in EV mode really well (think the hills in San Francisco for example). The Prime can tow a slightly heavier trailer than the Hybrid, but the maximum is still only 2,500 pounds. If you need to tow a trailer frequently, get a 4-Runner or Tacoma with a V6 engine, towing trailers isn't really a good use for any Toyota with a Hybrid Synergy Drive powertrain. The Prime is VERY stable on twisty mountain roads thanks to that 900 pound battery slung under the cabin floor. If you have to frequently drive in mountains, the Prime is far and away the best-ever Rav4 version. Just be sure that the $12,000 price premium is worth those features, because the Rav4 Hybrid is also a very nice Rav4, just not a Plug-in, but ultimately it will end up costing less overall unless the price of gas goes completely bonkers and we are paying $15/gallon for it.

The choice is easy: if you want the absolute maximum of cargo room in the truck, and you want a nice high view over the road and are okay with getting worse fuel economy because of the ride height, then you get the RAV4. If you want the best mpg and are okay with having only front-wheel-drive, then get the Camry.

The SUV looks much better compared to the sedan. But maybe not for $50k fully loaded if reports are to be believed.

How do you sell a TRD by adding another 8k$ as a package. Now its advertised as Base price 42k add 8k for upgrade to TRD. 3 years ago, Its just 'suggested retail price' at 38k fully TRD, with 1k add for additional upgrade.

I purchased the xse in magnet grey and it's loaded. I have 12.3 all digital display, 10.5" JBL upgraded stereo, power lift gate with the kick open and close tech......front and rear parking assist and I absolutely love this car so far. The best part is I'm averaging 43.2mpg. 😃

The color is nice. I like the blue and purple hue thst gets cast as the sun sets... the color shift from this lighter gray, to a darker nearly black looking at night.

F150 platinum eats that interior for lunch. Toyota should have stayed in it's lane. most reliable for a good price.
